1How exactly does the device measure the amount of fuel in the tank?
Thanks to the use of a high-quality pressure sensor, the measurement accuracy is approximately 0.5%. The liquid level is shown on the receiver’s display on a 100% scale (in 1% increments).
2 Do I have to go to the fuel tank to check the fuel level?
The device transmits information via radio waves to a receiver, which can be placed, for example, in an office up to 150 metres away – the fuel level is shown as a percentage (on a scale of 100%).
3 What happens if there is a power cut at the tank?
The transmitter located in the tank (which is responsible for measurement) is fitted with a battery that keeps the system running for up to 10 days.
4In the event of a power cut (e.g. a power grid failure), is there a specific procedure required to restart the device once power is restored?
No, the device is designed so that, once the power is reconnected, the transmitter and receiver will automatically re-establish a connection. If this does not happen, please refer to the device’s user manual or contact the manufacturer.
5Can I buy a Modi Sensor for a second-hand tank?
Yes, this is possible. You should contact the manufacturer or an authorised distributor, who will assess whether the device is suitable for your needs and carry out the installation.
6What types of liquids can the MODI SENSOR be used with?
In its standard version, the device can be used to measure the levels of oil, diesel fuel, AdBlue and water. For other liquids, please contact the manufacturer.
7Is the MODI SENSOR manufactured in Poland?
The MODI SENSOR is manufactured by the Polish company GAITER, which carries out the entire production and quality control process in Poland.
8Can MODI SENSOR be used to monitor fuel levels in several tanks at the same time?
Yes, the device can monitor the levels in up to four tanks simultaneously, e.g. two diesel tanks, one AdBlue tank and one windscreen washer fluid tank. This configuration is available to order.
9Can the device be used in both steel and plastic tanks?
Yes.
10Can the device also measure the temperature of liquids?
Yes, this feature is available on request.
